The major challenge facing the dwellers of most community around Alakija is the source of potable water. They depend on stream during the raining season and artificial ponds during the dry season for water supply but this is not free from contamination. When the seed of love was hinted about this ugly situation they rendered many assistances ranging from well water to powered borehole.
Another challenge of these communities is the absence of public schools. They have to trek a long distance on a busy highway to Olodo in the morning and afternoon under a very hot sun.This could not allow little children to start school in time.Not only this, Amos Jenifer's life was claimed by motor accident while returning from school on one faithful afternoon. Also, Tanner Ogafor was knocked down by a vehicle but we thank God he survived, but with fracture.
These are some of the reasons why the primary school at Olodo brought an annex of their primary school to Alakija.
The accommodation for the school became a challenge.
The community leader reached out to the RCCG for temporary usage of their church building. Since then all efforts to build their school didn't yield any positive result. It was these challenges that brought in seed of love
1.To reach the unreached (the core village) with the provision of portable water as basic life necessity.
2. To provide scholarship for the brilliant but financially challenged students.
3. To empower young widows for self reliance.
4. To provide training and to establish diligent but financially challenged youths.
5. To build and equipped school in far away villages for children education.
